The UAE is a major global hub for trade shows and exhibitions, accepting ATA Carnets for commercial samples, professional equipment, and exhibition goods. Home to GITEX, Arab Health, the Dubai Airshow, and dozens of world-class events, the UAE requires separate carnet entry and exit — no EU transit benefits apply.
The UAE is not an EU member. Each entry into and exit from the UAE must be documented separately on your carnet. EU transit benefits do not apply. Ensure the UAE is listed as a destination country on your carnet before departure. Note that free zones like DWTC may have their own customs procedures — confirm with your event organizer.
